Westley House Farm – Minsterley Shropshire

The first runout for a couple of months.  We decided to stay local and headed over to South Shropshire to a farm site called Westley House Farm: http://www.westleyhousefarm.co.uk

Although there is a Caravan Club CL here, the site also has a commercial park. Very small, only ten pitches, of which 5 are Super pitches. This is where we’re parked up…EhU, piped water, grey drain and HS all for £13pn. The site is very peaceful and if your into fishing, there is also a carp lake available. The fishing is only open to the owners friends and campers, so you won’t be disturbed by hordes of anglers.

View towards the super pitches.

The carp lake.

For the walkers, they are well catered for, loads of public footpaths directly off the site, but an OS Map or digital version is a must, as some of them are poorly marked.

Next stop Minsterley

We took a stroll cross-country to the village of Minsterley, the mutt off-lead on some of the huge expansive fields, he loved it. The village, a nice looking place has a pub, coop, post office and kebab house, what more could you need.

Minsterley Church

We like this site, its close to where we live, the pitches are very generous, its very quiet,  I could happily sit here for a couple of days in the summer. In the words of Arnie “I vill be back!”

Now….Back to the German Jaunt planning 2014  :-0

That is all.
